On Thursday, December 1, Al-Ahgaff University participated in the meeting called for by the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, where the editors-in-chief of the refereed scientific and humanities journals from various Arab universities participated in. Al-Ahgaff university was represented in this meeting by Dr. Ahmed Salem bin Aqil, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Ahgaff Journal for Legal Studies and Research, and Dr. Hashim Alawi Moqaibel, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Ahgaff Journal for Social Sciences. The meeting discussed the presentation of the most important developments in the project of developing Arab periodicals.
During the meeting, the editor-in-chief of "An-Najah Research Journal - B (Human Sciences)" was hosted to present the experience of including the journal in the Scopus database.
During the meeting, many proposals were presented to include the refereed Arabic journals in the list of the most important scientific classifications, in addition to putting forward several development projects, including the Arab Academics website and an indication of how to register in it, which aims to provide a close academic environment from all Arab countries and in all scientific disciplines.
It is worth noting that Al-Ahgaff University has been an associate member of the Association of Arab Universities since 1997.
