The Deanship of Distance Education at Al-Ahgaff University held on Saturday morning, July 29, 2023, the training course (Using the electronic platform in distance education) for all faculty at the Faculty of Arts and the first level at the Faculty of Sharia and Law in Mukalla, the Faculty of Islamic Sciences and the Faculty of Girls.

At the beginning of the course, Professor Sadiq Omar Maknoon delivered a welcoming speech in which he welcomed the participants and invited them to benefit from the contents of the course. He also talked about the importance of e-learning, which has become an imperative necessity for universities at the present time.

After that, the trainer, Dr. Hamza Al-Aidarous, who is in charge of training, qualification and development in the distance education platform at Al-Ahgaff University, started the course by defining e-learning and gave a full explanation about the electronic platform, explaining in the context of his speech the objectives of the course, its themes and the topics that the trainees will receive over the course of 6 training days.

This course comes within the framework of Al-Ahgaff University's plan to train and qualify its teaching staff, in pursuit of applying the principle of digital transformation and employing modern technologies and software in education. It is noteworthy that the Deanship of Distance Education has implemented a training course on how to use the electronic platform at the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Tarim, in mid-June.

The course was attended by Dr. Hussein Al-Aidarous, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Dr. Abdullah Al-Hamid, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Dr. Asfia Al-Rahman Faisal, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Ms. Sophia Al-Mohammadi, Dean of the Faculty of Women, and a group of faculty members in the faculties.
