Under the auspices of Prof. Mr. Abdullah Muhammad Baharoon, President of Al-Ahgaff University, Al-Ahgaff University held a farewell ceremony on Saturday, August 5, 2023, for students of the Faculty of Administration and Economics, specializing in (accounting), the 25^th batch, and the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, majoring in (information systems) for the 11^th batch, under Named (Al-Ahgaff Pioneers Batch).

The ceremony began with verses from the Holy Quran, and was followed by the graduates' ascent to the stage.

The graduate / Hussein bin Aqil delivered a speech on behalf of his graduate colleagues, in which he expressed their joy for their arrival up to this stage, and honoring their families amidst joy and affection and instilling the fruit of struggle and exerting exhausting efforts for several years. He also thanked the teaching staff in the faculties for their efforts and education over the four years. He also advised his colleagues to strive to reach their goals in order to achieve the university's vision, and focus on quality, not quantity, and be armed with science, in order for the university to be a destination for creativity and civilized distinction.

During the ceremony, the President of the University, Prof. Abdullah Muhammad Baharoon, delivered a speech in which he talked about the achievement of the Deanship of Faculties at the University and their efforts in the process of education and upgrading academic outputs, and also addressed a speech to the academic staff of the need to pay attention to the quality of education to maintain its good reputation as an Islamic university with a long history in graduating high-quality batches in various countries of the world, especially in Indonesia, Malaysia and Somalia. He stressed that the graduates, after completing this stage, should overcome the difficulties and problems due to the crises the country is going through, in addition to the technological development that is taking place as a result of artificial intelligence, which is a challenge for students in the labor market, and that the graduates should strive to develop and complete their higher studies and that the graduate of Al-Ahgaff does not laze and does not hesitate or weaken, but is always firm and strong. He urged them to be honest, trustworthy and ethical in their works, being a graduate of a distinguished Islamic university whose graduates hold high positions in various religious, political and social fields, wishing all graduates to pass this stage in peace.

The President of the University addressed a word of thanks to the students’ families for placing their trust in the university and alerted them to the need to take care of the family within our conservative society in the face of waves of intellectual alienation and destructive feminist ideas that aim to fragment the building block of society through the plans of Western control to weaken Muslims.

He concluded the speech by renewing the trust between the community and the university, as the university is a charitable institution that offers free education and receives its students from different countries of the world.

The ceremony included some lyrical and artistic cultural performances, including an operetta for the batch called (On the paths of civilization, the greatness of Al-Ahqaff is manifested) from the words of the poet Dr. Ahmed Salem bin Ghouth. There were also some popular dances, including the dance of Zerbadi by the artist Akram Bamheisoun, and musical performances by the creative artist / Muhammad Bin Munif amidst joyful crowd interaction.

At the end of the ceremony, the President of the University, accompanied by Prof. Sadiq Omar Maknoon, Vice President of the University, Eng. Fayez Ahmed Bin Shamlah, Secretary General, Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Saqqaf, Member of the University Board of Trustees, and Mr. Abdul Karim Al-Kassadi, Member of the University Board of Trustees, and Dr. Ahmed Saleh Khared The Dean of Quality and Academic Accreditation, Dr. Hassan Abdel-Muttalib Moqaibel, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science Engineering, and Mr. Alawi Abdel-Qader Al-Aidarous, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Economics, honored the students and took souvenir photos for them, wishing them success in the future.

The sponsors and participants in the ceremony were honored. In addition to honoring the team that won the gold medal in the international IRPC competition with the team supervisor, Dr. Hamza Ali Al-Aidarous.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Abdullah Muhammad Al-Hamid, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Dr. Hussein Ali Al-Aidarous, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Human Sciences, and a number of faculty members in the faculties and the university's administrative staff.
