On Thursday, August 3, 2023, the Deanship of Distance Education at Al-Ahgaff University concluded the training course (Using the electronic platform in distance education).

The course started last Saturday, July 29, 2023, and lasted for 6 consecutive days in the electronic library hall at Al-Ahgaff University. It also aimed to provide all university teaching staff with basic information on how to deal with the e-learning platform in distance education.

The training course, which was implemented by the trainer, Dr. Hamza Al-Aidarous, who is in charge of training and qualification at the distance education platform at Al-Ahgaff University, dealt with several main axes, including the theoretical one, which focused on explaining the types of education, blended education, and its needs, and how to use it? The practical axis focused on how to prepare the scientific material for the courses using the PowerPoint program, and then the practical use of the distance education platform, by developing the study plan, uploading the scientific material, implementing the direct lecture and preparing the tests.

At the end of the course, Prof. Sadiq Omar Maknoon, Vice President of the University, gave a speech in which he thanked the participants in the course, and thanked the course trainer for his efforts to make the course a success, hoping that the participants would benefit from such training courses that the university implements within its plan to develop its cadres.

Before that, Dr. Hussein Sheikh bin Sheikh Abu Bakr delivered a speech on behalf of the participants in which he thanked the university, represented by its President, Professor Abdullah bin Muhammad Baharoon, for the unlimited efforts in developing its teaching staff, calling for the continuation of the implementation of such courses. He also thanked the trainer, Dr. Al-Aidarous for his good performance in implementing the course.

In conclusion, the vice president of the university, accompanied by the trainer, distributed certificates to the participants and took souvenir photos, wishing them continued success.

It is worth noting that the number of participants in this course was 21 participants from the teaching staff of the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, the Faculty of Women, and the Faculty of Sharia and Law (Mukalla - Level One).
