Professor Sadiq Omar Maknoon, Vice President of Al-Ahgaff University, met with Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Abdel Ghaffar, Vice President of Raaso University for Scientific Affairs in Ethiopia, via Zoom.

Professor Sadiq Maknoon welcomed Dr. Muhammad Abdel Ghaffar at the start of the virtual meeting and conveyed his satisfaction with the first step in establishing a relationship between the two universities. This meeting serves as a first step in activating the memorandum of understanding that was signed between the two universities. Raaso Islamic University, Al-Ahgaff University, and the departments connected to both universities were introduced during the meeting.

Dr. Muhammad Abdel Ghaffar expressed his satisfaction with Al-Ahgaff University's prestigious educational offerings and the establishment of a first-rate learning environment that helps students and fosters their talents and scientific and cognitive capacities.

Following the discussion, it was decided to establish committees representing the two universities to work toward implementing the memorandum of understanding and achieving its ultimate objective.

It is noteworthy that Raaso University was established in 2023 and is the first Islamic university in Ethiopia. It was established to deliver the message of moderate and tolerant Islam while seeking to produce scientific cadres with a tangible scientific impact in reality.

The meeting was attended by Ahmed Abdullah Al-Hasani, Professor of Interpretation in the Department of Interpretation at the Faculty of the Holy Quran, Raaso University, as well as Dr. Hashem Alwi Muqaibel, Legal Advisor and Professor of International Law at Al-Ahgaff University.
