The Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Council for Higher Education organized a workshop entitled Self-Evaluation of Academic Programs at Taiz University. The workshop was held over two consecutive days during the period November 18-19, 2024.

In addition to introducing participants to the academic accreditation standards guide and outlining the necessary stages for writing the self-report, the workshop covered a number of crucial subjects for creating the programmatic self-evaluation document.

The workshop on the National Academic Accreditation Document was held at Taiz University, and Dr. Susan Bakhbira, Head of the Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance Council for Higher Education, stated her satisfaction with the event. She also acknowledged the efforts of Taiz University, represented by Dr. Muhammad Al-Shuaibi, its president, for organizing this workshop, a significant milestone in the Council's activities since its founding in September of 2023. Dr. Bakhbira emphasized that quality has emerged as a fundamental necessity for enhancing the performance of educational institutions and achieving better results in higher education.

Al-Ahgaff University was represented in this workshop by Professor Ahmed Khured, Dean of Quality and Academic Accreditation at the University.
