The Vice President of Al-Ahgaff University, Prof. Sadiq Omar Maknoon, received the evaluation committee of the distance education system of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research formed to visit Al-Ahgaff University and see the preparations for the opening of the Faculty of Distance Education, headed by Prof. Khalid Omar Basleem, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Educational Affairs.

The Vice President of Al-Ahgaff University welcomed the Undersecretary and the accompanying delegation, reviewing the outputs of the university during the past period, the plans and strategies implemented by the university and the admission system in various faculties.

The delegation was briefed by the vice president on the university's preparations for the opening of the Faculty of Distance Education and the necessity of this as part of the university's expansion plan in response to the market's demands for distance learning and its own development.

During the delegation's tour of the faculty's editing hall, private studio, and study hall, they praised the university's efforts and the plan to open the faculty, which represents a significant advancement for distance learning. They also praised the university's technical capabilities and infrastructure and emphasized the ministry's support for any significant measures that help improve the quality of higher education and broaden its reach to include more students from different governorates.

Al-Ahgaff University's Presidency, for its part, conveyed gratitude to the Ministry for its ongoing commitment in advancing higher education and emphasized its complete willingness to collaborate in line with the Ministry's directives and strategic goals.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of Quality and Academic Accreditation at Al-Ahgaff University, Prof. Ahmed Khured, the Secretary General of the University, Mr. Fayez Ahmed bin Shamla, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Distance Education, Mr. Zain Salem bin Aqeel, Deputy Dean of Quality and Academic Accreditation, Dr. Hamza Al Aidarous; and Director of the Legal Affairs Office, Dr. Hashim Muqeibel.

On the delegation's side were Dr. Lutfi Mohammed Khanbari, Director General of Private University Institutions; Dr. Lutfi Abdullah Qais, Director General of Governmental University Institutions; and Dr. Mohsen Hussein Al-Haidari, member of the committee.
