Al-Ahgaff University Concludes Quality Week with a Lecture on Quality in Higher Education and the Student’s Role in Achieving It

The Deanship of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation at Al-Ahgaff University concluded its Quality Week with a final lecture entitled “Quality in Higher Education and the Student’s Role in Achieving It,” as part of the University’s ongoing efforts to promote a culture of quality and academic accreditation among its students.

The lecture targeted more than 80 third-year students from the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, the Faculty of Administration and Economics, and the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, reflecting the University’s commitment to engaging students from various disciplines in quality concepts and their practical applications.

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Hamzah Alaidaros, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, who addressed several key themes, including concepts of quality in higher education, academic accreditation and quality assurance, and the pivotal role of students in achieving quality and contributing to the improvement of the educational process.

The session also featured interactive discussions and student contributions, demonstrating a high level of awareness and interest in the importance of quality in higher education and the students’ role as active partners in achieving distinguished learning outcomes.

The conclusion of Quality Week with this lecture comes as an extension of the University’s continuous efforts to disseminate a culture of quality. It is worth noting that Quality Week included a series of lectures targeting faculty members, faculty administrations, and male and female students across Al-Ahgaff University’s faculties in both Mukalla and Tarim.
