The activities of the Preparatory Scientific Course, organized by Al-Ahgaff University over a five-day period and delivered by the University President, Professor Abdullah Mohammed Baharoon, have concluded with the participation of students from advanced academic levels in the Sharia-based faculties.

The course was attended by fourth-level students from the Faculty of Islamic Sciences and fifth-level students from the Faculty of Sharia and Law, as part of an academic preparatory program aimed at enhancing students’ Sharia and intellectual awareness and linking academic knowledge to contemporary real-life issues.

The program addressed a number of important scientific and intellectual themes, most notably the role of students of knowledge in political affairs, building the Islamic family, effective and responsible use of the internet and artificial intelligence while avoiding their potential harms, and reforming religious education between the modern university system and the traditional educational model. These topics were discussed within a framework that addresses issues directly related to students’ academic, social, and ethical development.

At the conclusion of the course, Professor Abdullah Mohammed Baharoon emphasized the importance of such preparatory programs in shaping a well-balanced student of knowledge—academically, intellectually, and psychologically. He urged participants to apply the knowledge and guidance gained throughout the course in their academic and professional journeys.

Participants also expressed their appreciation for the course content, praising the high academic standard of the lectures and the valuable insights and guidance provided, which contribute to enhancing their academic performance and strengthening their role in serving society.

This course forms part of a series of academic programs implemented by the University as part of its commitment to improving the outcomes of Sharia education and preparing qualified scholars capable of making positive contributions to community development.
